New Year

Lame title right? I know...but I don't have anything original on my mind so I just went with it...Anyway, I, like most people are ready for a new year. I can't say that 2010 has been bad for me, it wasn't easy but I'm here, alive and well. I actually have a lot to be grateful for. My family is happy and together and I've met so many new and amazing people!! The biggest thing I am grateful for is that my grandmother made it through the year. She's 91 years old and she's had her ups and downs throughout the months but she was able to celebrate Christmas with us this year and for that I thank God everyday. We always ask my grandma what she wants for Christmas and every year she says she just wants the whole family to celebrate it with her. I wish I was as selfless and loving as her, maybe that will be one of my goals for 2011. My great-grandmother unfortunately died this year, may she rest in peace. She will always be remembered and I hope she is up there watching out for the rest of us. Enough about death!! This year...let's see...this year has been filled with firsts!! First year in high school, first...okay I lied. That was really the only first but it's been such fabulous fun!!
11 Goals for 2011-
1. Focus more on piano. Though I love the instrument, I really need to put more time into learning it.
2. Wear makeup everyday...why? I got a lot of makeup for Christmas...
3. Read at least 50 books. It seems I have been slacking lately in the book department.
4. Get all A's and B's in school. I've never gotten a C before in my life and I would hate to start in high school.
5. Make at least 2 new friends. I can always use an extra friend....
6. Control my addiction to Facebook....
7. Be a better person, but that's a lifetime goal.
8. Go to a state I haven't been to yet.
9. Only have to clean my room 3x this year. Oh dear...
10. Get rid of anything in my room I am not using. It's harder than it sounds...
11. Appreciate what I have and thank those who give it to me more often.

Music

On my other blog (http://increasethepeaceplease.blogspot.com/) I have recently posted a blog about music but it's all about PEACE music. So I thought I'd give my opinion on all the other music I love. I generally love EVERYTHING. My loves right now being My Chemical Romance, Brad Paisly, Plain White T's, Pink, Eminem, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, and Flyleaf Mostly because they've all recently come out with new CDs. Anyway, yea basically I love EVERY kind of music. Just thought I'd share that. ;)

Well...

Though I have no followers right now on this page I feel the need to keep it updated it with my fabulous life occurrences. Right now I don't have much to talk about. I can only say that I am lovin the book "Maximum Ride" by James Patterson. It's interesting, filled with crazy and wonderful ideas.  I have found that it is an incredibly easy read , but with semester finals reading is just not something I can occupy my time with right now. For the love of those twenty some people that have viewed my blog right now...follow!! My posts right now are basically my boredom on paper but they have no set plan. Not one is like the other...anyway. Love to all!!

Math vs. English

Just some thoughts while I'm sitting in math. Sitting in this class, working on a project makes me think how much I sincerely hate math, numbers, and all that goes with those little symbols of the devil. I love English, words and all that goes with them. You can't manipulate numbers the way you can words. There is always a correct answer with math, two plus two will always equal four. Words are different, you can move your words around to make people's mind see what you see. You can't create a fire-breathing dragon with numbers. One can try, with some crazy, ridiculous science and some theories but it would lose the magic. With words on the other hand, you can create a purple, fire-breathing dragon that can eat you in one bite but has the loving heart of pet. Though some people enjoy the fact that at some point, they will come up with the correct answer in a math problem, I am not a fan of that thought. With words, you can't end with the right answer because there is no one right answer. If you make people believe what you say, then you have successfully used words to the benefit of all that reads them. Bland topic, but one i felt the need to talk about.

I get by with a little help from my friends...

Friends truly are the siblings God forgot to give you. The really amazing ones are anyway. I have friends that have been with me through thick and thin, ones I can never thank enough for the support they've provided me with. I love them and, whoever blessed me with them I give an honest and sincere thanks.

Just Some Thoughts...

So, I have recently purchased and fallen in love with Plain White T's new album. Enough said really, it's absolutely fabulous. The song "Rhythm of Love" has stolen my heart and I have no room for any other songs, no matter how they try and win me over. I joke of course because there is always one song I can't stop listening to...until a new one comes along. For a while Darius Rucker's "Come Back Song" was on repeat. Then it was My Chemical Romance's "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W". Yes, my music obsessions are random and I can't say i only listen to one specific genre of music. Truth is, I get far too bored way too easily to limit myself to only a certain group of artists. Art is art, and every kind should be recognized, loved, and praised. I take pride in the thought that I can find a song I love from pretty much any music artist. Well, the ones I've been exposed to so far. If anyone would like to broaden my musical horizon, it would be greatly appreciated.
